JERMAINE Pennant and wife Alice Goodwin are having marriage counselling on Celebs Go Dating.
The Sun Online can reveal the couple are filming for the E4 dating show and it’s thought they have replaced Katie, 41, who was forced to leave last week.
Former footballer Jermaine, 36, and his wife are having counselling after going through a turbulent time since his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother last summer.
During his time on the Channel 5 show, Jermaine flirted with 22-year-old model Chloe Ayling, and initially failed to mention he was married.
Jermaine and Alice – who married in 2014 – are replacing Katie and Kris, 30, after they left the show last week and we can reveal they started filming this morning.
A source said: “Jermaine and Alice have had a difficult time since Celebrity Big Brother and jumped at the chance to get some help from proper experts to mend their marriage for good.”
Last week, we revealed Katie had been forced to pull out of Celebs Go Dating after signing up to another dating show.
The mother-of-five was due to appear on the show alongside boyfriend Kris and has already filmed scenes for it, which will all now have to be scrapped.
Katie and her toyboy were the first couple to do the show and undertake couple’s counselling on it, but bosses were unaware she would be breaching another contract by taking part.
An insider told The Sun Online: “Everyone was really excited when Katie agreed to be part of the new series and she has already filmed some amazing bits with Kris Boyson.

“But it emerged that she would be breaching her contract on another show so she had to go.
“Katie agreed that her time was up and she knows the door is always open if she wants to give it another go.
“It’s obviously really disappointing but there are some other really good cast members this series so the show will still be a success.”
A spokesperson for the show confirmed her departure and told us: “Lime Pictures contracted Katie and Kris to appear on Celebs Go Dating on the understanding that they were able to take part.
“Unfortunately it has come to light that by appearing in our show Katie will in fact be in breach of her contract with another TV production company. Katie and Kris will not now be a part of this year’s Celeb’s Go Dating series.”
